Workplace Learning Shoalhaven, who hosts the awards, arranges industry work placement for more than 800 students annually with over 400 Shoalhaven employers.
Industry work placement enables employers to provide real, industry-based skills to students as part of the courses they are studying for their HSC.
In addition to this Workplace Learning Shoalhaven is active in creating opportunities for students to start apprenticeships and traineeships whilst still at school.
These together with the VET courses provide great scope for young people to obtain industry skills and an industry qualification while completing their HSC.
This represents a great partnership between industry, schools and the students concerned - a win win for everyone.
Workplace Learning Shoalhaven would like to thank its exceptional host employers for 2021 - Nowra Golf Club, NowChem, Nowra Shoalhaven Park Trees Adventure, Jobe Rech Workshop and Nicolstoke Farm.
Without the support and enthusiasm of employers, this program would not be the success that it is.
