At a wet Kiama Showground, points were hard to come by, with tries to George Miller and David Priestman, as well as one Keiran Brandon conversion proving enough for Paul Connor's side in round 11, while also keeping their unbeaten Illawarra Rugby record intact.
Elsewhere on Saturday Shamrocks downed Tech Waratahs 35-12, Avondale smashed Vikings 52-20, Campbelltown outlasted Camden 43-17 and University edged Bowral 32-19.
In second grade, the Cows pipped the Shoals 7-3.
Following this round of action, Shoals are still in first on 46 points, with a game in hand against Kiama.
Hot on the Rugby Park-based club's heels are Shamrocks (44 points), followed by Avondale (43), Campbelltown (36), Vikings (29), Bowral (21), Tech Tahs (18), Kiama (17), University (16) and Camden (10).
Next up for Shoals is an away trip to Tech Tahs.
