Located on 56-58 Junction Street, The Consortium Lounge's free open day will allow those who are curious about working in a shared space to give it a try.
Founder of the Consortium Lounge Carmen Rudd believes coworking spaces offer flexibility and the opportunity to connect with others.
"Coworking gives the opportunity of flexible workspace arrangement," she said.
"A person could work from home and decide to come in one day a week, and then get to be part of a community and break that on isolation that they can get from home," she said.
"Or they can be permanent, or they can take an office month to month."

The Consortium Lounge boasts three separate coworking rooms, a board room, a meeting room, a kitchen and amenities. It also provides free wifi, electricity and furniture - with plenty of space for people to bring in their own laptops or screens.
Carmen, who also runs a coworking space in Wollongong, said people across from various industries make use of the office.
"There's a real mixture of different people from different backgrounds who use the space," she said.
"We've got an accountant, a bookkeeper, graphic designers and web developers. We also have engineers and solo entrepreneurs who have just started their own business who come in."
The free coworking day will run from 9am to 5pm this Friday, June 11.
The Consortium Lounge opening hours are yet to be determined, but Carmen said she is working to allow access 24 hours per day.
"We want people to be able to come in at 7 o'clock in the morning if they want to or after hours, especially for mums who want to come in earlier or later," she said.
