THE Bomaderry Tigers continued their domination of the AFL South Coast division one competition on Saturday, by thrashing the Wollongong Lions 11.16-82 to 2.0-12 at North Dalton Park.

One week after smashing crosstown rivals Nowra-Albatross, the Tigers picked up where they left off, thanks to goals from Matt Polman (five), Gavin Costain, Jake Satchell, James Phillips and Rhys Arnold.
Geoff Gibbs' visitors were best served by Phillips, Siwa Harvey-Aziz, Satchell, Michael Grant, Polman and Matthew Lawrence in the win.
The Artie Smith Oval-based club's other men's side also recorded an impressive victory on Saturday, defeating Figtree 17.16-118 to 0.1-1 for their maiden win of 2021.
In the win, Justin Weller (six), Matt Hickmott (four), Mitch Wurr (two), Matthew Colless, Leslie Wardale, James McDonald, Jeremy O'Byrne and Jeremy Boonstra kicked majors - with the match also marking Jack Batson's return to the footy field following a car accident in 2020.
Finally, the Tigers women's side suffered their second straight defeat, losing 3.5-23 to 0.1-1 to the Lions - despite strong showings from Grace Hughes, Rose Hughes, Rhianna Nelson, Nayana Patmore, Bridget Kellett and Lily Macdonald.
In other AFL South Coast news, the Vikings division one men's side suffered another heavy loss, this time to fellow Shoalhaven Ulladulla 18.13-121 to 1.1-7.
The Dockers also got the better of the Vikings in the division one women's fixture, triumphing 20.22-142 to 0.0-0 at the Ulladulla Sports Park.
