The property, 4 Admiralty Crescent, Huskisson went to auction on Sunday, April 11 after four weeks on the market.
Selling agent Tim McGoldrick from Elders Real Estate Berry said the unique home attracted around 500 enquiries - the most he's seen. While they primarily came from the Sydney region, some local interest was put forward.
Figures in the early fours were expected, but the end result came as a huge shock to the sellers.
"It was an emotional day for the owners. There were certainly some tears," Tim said.
"It's been their family home for around 20 years and now they're having a change of lifestyle."
The two-story brick veneers home features waterfront views, a boat ramp, huge boat shed, a slip and a jetty. Tim said the views live up to the price tag.
"The views up and down Currumbene Creek are phenomenal, I haven't seen another property like this one. It's definitely unique," he said.
Around 40 people turned out to watch as the hammer fell and the property was picked up by a Sydney resident.
It's going to be hard to top what he described as an "incredible record" but there's no shortage of sales ahead for Tim.
Although he said a crystal ball would be handy, Tim doesn't see the South Coast market slowing down anytime soon. With businesses getting back to normal and the region's popularity with Sydney buyers, he predicts it will continue to remain strong.
