At Niagara Park Stadium, the Tigers traded baskets with the Central Coast Waves through the early exchanges, before claiming a three-point lead going into the first break.
The second quarter was much the same, with both sides going on small runs against one another.
Just as it appeared the hosts were going to go into the main break up, Tigers wing Bruce Ozolins hit back-to-back three-pointers, to ensure the visitors held a 41-39 break at half-time.
The flurry spurred on Bagoly's troops, who extended their lead to 10 points by the end of the third quarter.
In the last, despite the best efforts of the hosts, the Tigers kept their foot on the throat, to run out winners 78-64.
In the win, Bruze Ozolins led the way with 38 points, which included six three-pointers.
Ozolins was well-supported by guards Billy Campbell and Nick Bizjak, who both finished with 10.
The Tigers will now return home and play their first-ever competitive game in the new Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre - where they'll take on the Springwood Scorchers (who lost 72-53 to Newcastle in round one) from 6pm on Saturday.
