The closure comes as a result of a whale carcass washing up on Kendalls Beach.
It is believed to be the remnants of a beaked whale that beached itself at Gerringong on Wednesday but was washed out to sea before ORRCA volunteers could complete a full assessment.

Kiama council closed the patrolled beaches at Surf and Kendalls over concerns the presence of the carcass could attract sharks.
Warning signs have also been placed at Bombo and Easts beaches.
