The event at Concord tees off on Thursday, with Wednesday's practice allowing the 16-year-old to get used to the course - which was closed on Tuesday due to wet conditions.
"Despite it being a bit wet, practice went well today," Hall said.
"I was hitting them well and go into my first ever round on the professional circuit full of confidence."
Aiding that confidence is the fact the Ulladulla High School student finished second at last month's Concord Cup.
Halls and Muswellbrook's Josh Fuller both finished the three rounds at four-under before the latter won in a play-off.
"Although I didn't win that tournament, I took plenty of positives away from it, especially shooting a 69 and 68 in the final two rounds," Halls said.
"That and the Aussie Amatuer were both great learning experiences for me, which should bode well for me this week."
When Halls tees off on Thursday, he has been paired with Japanese Tour winner Adam Bland.
"I'm really looking forward to playing alongside and learning from Adam," he said.
"He's a great golfer and someone I aspire to be.
If Halls, who will be caddied by his brother Blake who is part of the Canberra Raiders junior system, is to do so, he knows he needs to take his chances.
"The third, seventh and 18th holes appear tough at this stage, so I'll need to remain focused when playing them," Halls, who will also play at the Australian Amateur Boys Championships in Canberra next month, said.
"But there's also a couple of short par fours, which I'll look to make the most of, especially with the greens looking so good."
