A fortnight ago, Wade Forrester's open men's outfit were licking their wounds after losing to Riverina 30-14 in the country championships opener at Shellharbour.
With their backs against the wall, the Dragons defied the odds and qualified for the competition's semi-finals by smashing North Coast by 42 points at Taree.
The Dragons, made up of primarily Group Seven players, were then once again pitted against the Bulls for a spot in the 2021 decider.
But their undefeated rivals didn't faze Forrester's troops, as tries from Donte Efaraimo, Chanse Perham, Dylan Farrell, Justin Jones and Tyson Simpon, as well as two kicks from Cam Vazzoler, secured the South Coast side an impressive 24-16 win at Queanbeyan's Seiffert Oval.
The Dragons will take on the Monaro Colts, who defeated the Central Coast Roosters 18-10 in the other semi-final, at the Collegians Sporting Complex on Saturday.
