VOLUNTEERS from the region's State Emergency Service [SES] units remain on standby to help local residents in need of assistance as rain continues to lash the region.

The SES is awaiting on advice from the Bureau of Meteorology, this morning [Monday March 23], on an update on areas likely to be impacted the most by the conditions, while the local volunteers have been closely monitoring the situation.
The Shoalhaven River and St Georges Basin have both been listed as areas to get minor flooding with the next flood watch report to be issued by 12.30 pm today [Monday].
The NSW SES Nowra volunteers have been working consistently to assist the community.
Tasks included water over roads, sandbagging, leaking roof and trees down.

Ulladulla SES teams, as part of their emergency response work, has been doing lots of reconnaissance in areas like the Budawangs, Yarborough and Brooman.
Volunteers have completed a few sandbagging jobs with the aim of helping to divert water away from properties.
The Ulladulla SES volunteers have also completed some roof-related jobs.
According to the Ulladulla SES all the local lakes are open which reduces the risk, bit flood rescue teams are on standby.
