The path will be closed nightly from Sunday and Thursday between 6pm and 7am across this period, except for the Easter long weekend when it will remain open.
Pedestrians and cyclists will be detoured via the footpath on the southbound bridge.
These closures are required for the safety of workers and path users while Transport for NSW relocates utility services at each end of the existing northbound bridge.
The stairs and underpass on the southern foreshore will also be closed during some of this work.
The footpath on the northbound bridge will also continue to be closed during the day when noise levels are high due to bridge piling work.
Signage will be in place during these temporary closures.
Transport for NSW thanks the community for its patience while work is carried out.
