THE unbeaten start to the 2021 Tarsha Gale season continued for the Illawarra Steelers on Saturday, as they smashed rival Cronulla-Sutherland 44-4 at the Collegians Sporting Complex.

Stingrays' Teagan Berry set the tone for the round six fixture early, scoring twice in the first eight minutes.
This was followed by four-pointers to Jordyn Preston (10th minute), Salma Nour (19th), Keele Browne (29th), Keeley Kopara (33rd), Berry (49th) and Lily Rogan (54th) - with Shante Lenartowicz landing six kicks.
Group Seven's Teagan Berry, Riley Scott, Mackenzie Lear, Alex Wallace and Jordyn Preston (all Stingrays) as well as Keele Browne and Lily Rogan (both Bulldogs) were all part of Saturday's victorious squad.
Earlier in the day, the Steelers' SG Ball side downed the Sharks 40-26, thanks to tries from Jackson Shereb (two), Joshua Coric (two), Cooper Tunbridge, Tyrell Sloan and Jack Owens.
Alexander Lobb nailed six of his seven conversion attempts too for the hosts - who's side featured Albion Park-Oak Flats' Benjamin Lavender and Josh Coric, Stingrays' Jack Bostock, Milton-Ulladulla's Riley Wooden, Kiama's Travis Barrett-Hancock, Jamberoo's Tyson Duff and Shellharbour's Clive Brett.
While the Steelers' Harold Matthews side were forced to share the spoils with the Sharks after the match ended 28-all.
In the draw, in which the Steelers cam back from 28-12 at half-time, Sean Trindall (two), Jahream Lole-Ngarima, Palu Tausala and Te Umuariki Heremia-Tukere crossed the chalk, as Taj Ford added four kicks.
Gerringong's Dylan Egan, Taj Ford, Kane Graham, Jack Quine and Hamish Stewart and Stingrays' James Walsh all starred in the comeback for the Steelers.
Looking ahead, the club's Tarsha Gale side, who sit in second spot with a 5-0 record, face the Bulldogs at Belmore Sports Ground next round.
While the two male teams, who are both 2-1-2 in 2021, host North Sydney at Collegians Sporting Complex in round seven - with Harold Matthews at 11.30am and SG Ball at 1pm.
In other news, the fourth game played at Collegians on Saturday was the round one Jersey Flegg match between the Dragons and Sharks, which the former won 10-4 - thanks to a Treigh Stewart try and three goals from Connor Muhleisen.
