Club president, Rodney Austin ( OAM) described the three-day event as a huge success, with 290 surf boat crews with family and friends from all over Australia converging on the area and staying for three or four days.
It is estimated about 4000 visitors spent many thousands of dollars booked out every accommodation room and on dining and shopping
The many spectators were treated to a world class event. Each crew demonstrated a very high standard of courage and technique developed through hundreds of hours of solid training.
David Johnson from Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club said spectator, including locals, were impressed with the event.
"We spoke to many spectators, and many locals were absolutely blown away by the amazing atmosphere and excitement on the beach," he said.
"There was plenty to keep them entertained; there were hundreds of races, big challenging waves causing havoc to some crews and plenty of thrilling close finishes
"I would like to thank the many surf club volunteers and community members who put in many hard hours to make the event the success it was. Mollymook Surf Club has an excellent reputation for hosting major events such as this, we hope to host this event again next year."
Bernard Jones, proprietor of The Dolphins Motel at Mollymook said every room was booked out due to the event, as was every other motel in the area. He added that sports tourism is a huge boost to his business and the area.
"We are lucky to have so much to offer to attract new customers to our region. Mollymook beach and the surf club activities are a great attraction, and golf, bowls and weddings are also constant contributors to our region and community," David said.
The event's partners were Destination NSW, Team Navy and Shoalhaven City Council.
