He later died at the scene.
About 3pm today (Tuesday 23 February 2021), emergency services were called to the corner of the Princes Highway and Wason Street, Ulladulla, following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a truck as he was attempting to cross the highway.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified was at first listed as being in a critical condition.
The Princes Highway is currently closed in both directions.
Diversions are in place on Green Street, Camden Street and Deering Street in both directions for light vehicles.
There is no diversion at this stage for heavy vehicles.
The male truck driver has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
