A woman reported missing from the South Coast has been located safe and well overnight.
The 72-year-old woman was last seen at a home in Narrawallee, near Mollymook, on Thursday February 4 2021, and was reported missing to officers from South Coast Police District.
Following inquiries, the woman was located safe and well on the South Coast about 6pm yesterday (Thursday February 11 2021).
Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
Meanwhile, DNA samples will be collected from family members in a NSW pilot program designed to resolve the fate of long-term missing persons.
The initiative was launched on Monday on the NSW mid north coast towns of Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie because of the area's high number of missing persons.
Police say they are hoping to identify some of the 330 unidentified human remains in the state, with almost 200 of them being found on the north coast.
