The small forward has been selected in a talent-laden 24-man roster that features the likes of Ben Simmons, Patty Mills and Joe Ingles.
South Coast product Xavier Cooks, son of former Hawks assistant Eric, was also named in the team.
The squad includes nine current NBA players and nine NBL players.
The final 12-man roster will be named later this year.
The team will be coached by Illawarra mentor Brian Goorjian, while Hawks assistant Jacob Jackomas has been added to the coaching staff as international scouting coordinator.
Goorjian is thrilled to have compiled such a talented squad, the veteran leader confident the side can contend for Olympic Gold.
"It is a well-balanced squad selected by position with a nice blend of experience coupled with a lot of new and exciting players coming through," Goorjian said.
"These are our top 24 available players and included is significant representation from the NBL, showing the strength of our local league where the standard of competition is recognised worldwide.
"I have spoken to each player over the past fortnight and have been extremely impressed, to a man, by their overwhelming desire to play for Australia in Tokyo."
The Boomers were placed in Group B at Tuesday's draw, the team to face Nigeria and two teams still to qualify.
Those sides will compete at qualifying tournaments in Europe in June and July.
With a significant amount of planning already complete, Goorjian said the draw will allow his staff to finalise their preparations in the coming months.
"While we don't yet know all our group opponents, the draw is another piece of the jigsaw we are piecing together to deliver that elusive gold medal," Goorjian said.
"A successful Olympics campaign is all about preparation both on and off the court, getting our style of play and selection spot on, and delivering when it matters.
"This tilt at gold in Tokyo has been a decade or more in the making and I'm excited by the opportunity that awaits us later this year."
In a statement, 76ers star Ben Simmons said he is eager to link up with the Boomers prior to the Games.
"It would be an amazing honour to play for my country," Simmons said. "I know things are uncertain right now but I've been in touch with Coach Goorjian and we're hopeful I can join the Boomers."
Patty Mills and Joe Ingles also released a joint statement, the pair eager to win a medal at their fourth Olympics.
"We are both excited to again be named in the Australian Boomers squad and we are determined to lead this group of both veteran experience and exciting younger talent to an elusive Olympic Medal," the pair said.
