Shoalhaven City Council is encouraging Shoalhaven Libraries members to celebrate an Aussie summer with Shoalhaven Libraries, by taking part in their annual Bookmark Competition.
The 2021 competition theme, Celebrate an Aussie Summer encourages members to get crafty and design a bookmark celebrating everything they love about an Australian Summer.
Mayor Amanda Findley is excited to see the entries for this year's competition and encourages library members to take part.
"Is it your favourite pair of thongs, or fancy beach towel? Ocean swimming or exploring lesser-known walking tracks? Barbeques with friends or cooling down with an ice block and a water fight? Have a think about what you appreciate about an Australian summer and use that inspiration to design a fabulous bookmark for the competition," she said.
"Get creative these summer holidays and encourage your friends to do the same, with some luck your design could be selected and feature as part of the collectable set."
The competition has two categories for entrants. Children and Youth (0-18 years) and Adults (18+ years).
Four winning designs will be selected from each category and will be printed as a collectable set available for purchase. Entries are now open and the competition will close on February 28, 2021.
Entry forms are available at each Shoalhaven Library branch and online:
