10am Monday: A complicated rescue operation is underway after a man beached his jet ski on an isolated shorebird santuary south of Seven Mile Beach.

The man, believed aged in his mid-40s, is stranded on Comerong Island with an exposed bone injury to his leg.
Emergency crews have been trying to reach him since the crash was reported about 9.40am Monday.
ACM understands the man has spoken to rescuers over the phone. Based on the description he has provided, he is believed to have a compound fracture to his tibia/fibula.
As at 11.15am, a Toll ambulance rescue chopper is hovering overhead.
Meantime, a paramedic road crew is attempting to reach the island via the Comerong Island Ferry.
Early reports indicated the man's jet ski became stuck in the crash.
Update, 1pm: The injured man been transported by helicopter to Wollongong Hospital.
