The duo recently played for Greater Illawarra in the Country Colts cricket championship held in Albury.
Greater Illawarra won the competition after winning all three of its matches.
The Shoalhaven/Illawarra based team's first match of the carnival was against the always competitive Riverina side.
Illawarra made 174 runs in its innings and Riverina got close but was all out for 171 runs.
Parsons got limited opportunities with the bat and made seven runs, while Sweet did not bat.
Sweet took the new ball and sent down three tight overs but he went wicketless.
Greater Illawarra, in its second match, took a major step towards winning the championship when it totally dominated ACT Southern Districts.
Southern batted first and made a more than respectable 183 runs, but Greater Illawarra only lost one wicket during its successful run chase.
Parsons, this time, got to bowl and made runs hard to come by.
His 5.5 overs only cost Greater Illawarra 13 runs.
The two Shoalhaven players also combined well in the field and got a run-out.
Neither was required to bat.
Western, in the last match of the tournament, made sure Greater Illawarra had to work hard to win its third match in a row.
Western compiled an imposing 7/208 first innings total but the Illawarra side was up for the challenge and went onto record a six-wicket victory.
Sweet had his most successful bowling stint of the tournament and took two wickets against Western.
Parsons, who completed another run-out, toiled hard with the ball and his 10 overs against Western cost 46 runs.
The Greater Illawarra top order clicked into gear against Western and guided their team to victory.
