The Shoalhaven girls took on arch-rivals Illawarra on Sunday at Zealand Oval.
The talented Shoalhaven side produced a strong effort but suffered a 90 runs loss.
Shoalhaven won the toss on Sunday and decided to send the strong Illawarra side into bat.
Illawarra found the conditions to its liking and posted an impressive first innings total of 3/181 runs.
The home-side, in reply, was all out for 91 runs.
Brooke Basu 49 runs, Keisha Baldwin 36 runs and Kiana Dovern 29 runs helped Illawarra post its impressive total.
Kiana, Keisha and Brooke all produced unbeaten efforts with the bat.
Leila Pepperell, Neve Smart and Katie Martin took a wicket each for Shoalhaven.
The loss of steady wickets hurt the home-side and its run chase did not go to plan.
Shoalhaven opener Katie Martin carried her bat for the innings.
Katie's powerful 26 runs included three boundaries.
Emily Zerafa was looking good and coming in at first drop for the Shoalhaven hit two boundaries.
Sadly she would not build on the eight runs she struck after being dismissed.
Illawarra shared the wicket-taking duties around with Nicola Hudson, Cadence Waters and Keisha Baldwin bagging two wickets apiece.
