A new bridge over the Princes Highway as part of the Berry to Bomaderry upgrade has been put in place, and it has been captured in time lapse by local artist Anna Glynn.
The new bridge was put in place at Strongs Road, Jaspers Brush on Wednesday (December 2).

The work involved the placement of three massive bridge girders across the highway to complete the new Strongs Road overpass.

Constructed from Australian weathering steel, the girders were fabricated in Newcastle using Port Kembla steel.
Each girder weighs approximately 100 tonnes and they were lifted into place between 8.30pm and 3.30am.

The work required multiple short closures of the highway when lifts occurred.

Ms Glynn's said she wanted to capture the moment and set up a time lapse.
"I set up my reliable favourite camera the Brinno TLC200 Pro to try and capture the works in action," she said.

"I'm so happy it rained as I love the special effects of the rain on the lens."

It is the second overpass on the project after the Meroo Road/Pestells Lane overpass was completed earlier this year and is now open to traffic.
