And from the Cambewarra Lookout the work certainly takes centre stage.
Intrepid local photographer Howard Mitchell snapped the stunning image of the work last weekend.
The extent of the work on the project, including the large amount of clearing on both sides of the Shoalhaven River that has been undertaken for the crossing and adjacent road works to proceed is clear to see.
There is now a clear view of the Shoalhaven City Council administrative building and further into Nowra, while the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre with its bright red roof hoarding certainly stands out, as does the cleared site of the former Riverhaven Motel location which will be the southern entry to the new crossing.

Work is progressing just as feverishly on the northern side of the river.
The homes on Illaroo Road have been demolished and removed and works are being undertaken there to construct a permanent left north-bound turning lane onto the Princes Highway.
A large amount of work is being undertaken in the paddock formerly owned by the Bryce family facing Bolong Road and in the area in front of the former Morton residence, Lynburn, adjacent to Bomaderry Creek.
To the northern side of the highway extensive tree felling and removal is also taking place around the historic Illowra property, with Transport for NSW confirming the historic house, acquired as part of the construction of the new Nowra bridge, would not be demolished.
While at the lookout Mr Mitchell also snapped a photo of the new Meroo Road overpass of the Princes Highway at Meroo Meadow.
