Loss of wildlife and of so many species is now a mass extinction event comparable to that which occurred 65 million years ago. The rich diversity of life on earth, a biosphere that supports our very existence, is shrinking at a catastrophic rate.

If governments won't listen, if elements on council refuse to acknowledge a climate and extinction emergency, then people and communities will take it upon themselves to engage in grassroots non violent action to draw attention to the facts.

Please, leaders of our community, be alarmed, acknowledge what is happening and take urgent steps to reverse this disaster. Now. For a liveable future. Because extinction is for good.

It's a pity these Extinction Rebellion people don't check their facts. The damage caused in the Shoalhaven due to bushfires was from years of inaction from government, including local.

Forestry management has all but ceased to exist and calling this "climate change" is totally irresponsible.

If someone is turning left from Greenwell Point Road onto Worrigee Road the person driving behind them assumes they can overtake them if they are slowing to turn as there's a lane for people who wish to turn onto Terara Rd. But as they speed up and overtake the turning vehicle they come head-on with anyone waiting to turn right in the opposite direction on to Worrigee Road.

It's only a matter of time before there will be a head-on there.

I don't live locally but in normal times visit regularly. Since the federal election what progress has been made to follow through on with the commitment to upgrade the highway? Or is it another example of there for the photo shoot and no further action?

Sadly I can't see this Kinghorne Street development being quashed. The Quest building has already set a precedent. If council gets too picky, the applicants will end up at the land and environment courts, and they will most likely overrule council's objections.

If determinations take too long, I believe the Land and Environment Court gets things moving more quickly.

Just my opinion, I don't see a particular need for the development, but if someone is willing to invest so much into the community, I guess it should be considered seriously.

The approximate location where no 5 Sunset Strip Manyana joins with the Inyadda beach is a disaster waiting to happen. The precise spot is difficult to pinpoint because of the steep, almost vertical slope.

Quite often families set up their picnic tables and surfing equipmendat for their day at the beach at the foot of the cliff without realising the danger from falling rocks.

There needs to be warning signage or retention fencing to protect people from falling rocks or trees. The spot has been the subject of coastal erosion following serious storms. Urgent attention would be appreciated.
