Fans at the Kiama Showground's minor semi-final only had to wait 13 minutes for the match's first points.
Working out of his own end, Jets winger Kuyan Wellington was stripped by Kiama's Tom Atkins before the latter spread the ball to the left, which saw Cam Vazzoler and Jay Delaney put Brad Kilmore over in the eastern corner.
Halfback Vazzoler failed to convert and the hosts' lead was four.
Six minutes later, the premiers had their second.
Winger Matt Morris pounced on a dropped ball by Bradley Manton on his own 10-metre line before sprinting 90 metres to score next to the uprights, despite the best efforts by Jets fullback Jason Gillard.
Vazzoler converted and it was 10-nil after 19 minutes.
Two became three soon after, as sharp passing by skipper Kieran Poole and Vazzoler put Toby Nobes into a hole to score.
Vazzoler again missed his conversion and it was 14-nil.
Just when it appeared the Knights were destined to score their fourth, the Jets responded.
It all started from a 50-metre break the western touchline by Kuyan Wellington before, two plays later, the ball was spread to the right and Gillard put Braydon Walsh over for his sixth try in 2020.
Winger Walsh converted from the sideline and it was 14-6.
That four-pointer gave the visitors plenty of confidence, as they added their second int he 30th minute.
Magic lead-up play by Manton, where he beat five defenders before flicking the ball with his right hand to Paul Roberts, saw the latter stroll over.
Walsh's extra made it 14-12 and it was game-on.
And just when it appeared that would be the scoreline going into the break, a deft left-footed step by Vazzoler saw the 2018 Cronin Medalist dive over for the hosts' fourth.
Making matters worse, referee William Drury awarded an eight-point try to Kiama, following a kick by Walsh when Vazzoler was grounding the ball.
Vazzoler landed both kicks, as it was 22-12 at half-time.
Much like the first half, the hosts started the stronger and were the first to trouble the scorers.
In the 48th minute, Vazzoler turned provider by cutting a perfectly-weighted kick back inside, which sat up for Atkins to score.
Vazzoler converted and the lead was 16.
But the visitors weren't done with yet and in the 61st minute, skipper Dylan Farrell combined with centre Ryan James - with the latter overpowering four defenders to score just inside the corner post.
Walsh missed the sideline conversion and it was back to a two converted try margin - which was retained soon after thanks to courageous cover defence by Roberts.
But two late penalty goals by Vazzoler, taking his personal tally to 95 for the season, iced the match for Kiama, before Jets' Roberts and Knights Daniel Martin were sin-binned with three to go.

The Jets scored a late consolation try through Matt Scott, which Walsh converted, to make it 32-22 at full-time.
In the win, in which marked Matt Gladman's 100th first grade game for Kiama, the Knights were led by Luke Chalker, Vazzoler, Martin and Poole while Roberts, Manton, Farrell and Zac Kershaw gave their all for the Jets.
The winners will now take on Jamberoo, in a 2019 grand final replay, in Sunday's elimination final at the Bomaderry Sporting Complex.
