The Wollongong Devils have announced there will be expanded men's and women's Illawarra Premier Leagues in 2020, kicking off on Monday night.
Six men's teams will take to the field, up from five last year, while the women's team numbers have grown from four to six.
There will be no Berkeley side this year, however, are plenty of new clubs that have jumped on board.
Wests Illawarra and Group Seven club Stingrays of Shellharbour will join the men's competition, while the Stingrays, Albion Park-Oak Flats Eagles, Gerringong Lions and the Illawarra competition's Woonona Bushrangers are the new women league's teams - which already features the Jamberoo Superoos.
"Its really good growth, we're really happy - especially in the women's competition," Wollongong Touch Association's vice-president Tim Robinson said.
"Our main aim has been to grow that and make it stronger, which seems to have worked.
"I think our aim has been always to build off the partnership that Touch Football Australia has with the NRL.
"While it is so strong at the top and elite level, we want to grow it at a grassroots level.
"The interest in the past few years is growing more and more.
"People can make a connection with the two sports and give both a go."
The two premier league divisions will kick off on Monday night and will run for 10 weeks, culminating in a finals day in mid-December.
A junior premier league is set to launch next month and run for six weeks, also finishing with that finals day.
