THE finals run came to an end for the St Georges Basin under 15B boys on Wednesday night, losing to United Polars 2-nil. The team finishes out their season third on the ladder.

Saturday competition juniors saw the under 10 Reds take on Milton-Ulladulla in the preliminary finals.
Goals from Tyren McNiven and Lachlan Deeth saw the team come back from 1-nil down at half-time to beat the Panthers 2-1.
The win sees team through to the grand final where they will take on Basin White in what is sure to be an exciting game.
Basin's under 12 girls and under 13A boys both had a week off to rest up for their grand finals that will occur this weekend.
Their under 12 girls will be taking on Culburra, while the under 13A boys will take on United.
In senior men, the over 35s continued their success with a 3-2 win over competition champions Sussex Inlet.
Basin's boys were down 2-1 at half-time with a goal from Brian Booth.
Going into the second half, the Dragons increased possession which paid off with goals from Rob Thompson and Peter Roth securing the boys a 3-2 win and a place in the grand final against Milton.
Saturday saw first grade take on Bomaderry in the major semi-final.
At half-time, Basin were down 2-nil.
A substitution saw Tyrone Nye Williams take the field with fresh legs and a swift attack on goals was soon rewarded.
Bomaderry hit back quickly though with another goal of their own.
Brendan Hobbs scored for the Basin bringing it to 3-, but a final goal from Bomaderry sealed the team's fate at 4-2 - which means first grade will now take on United in the preliminary final.
Sunday saw another Basin verse Bomaderry match, with very different results.
Reserve grade men dominated from the start.
In cooler conditions than the previous day, the team thrived and got up in the first half with a goal from Owen Browne, who was relentless up front.
Numerous strong saves from Dave Coventry prevented Bomaderry from getting on the board and a cross to Alex McGarrell in the second half saw the ball expertly headed into the bottom corner, securing Basin a 2-nil win and a place in the preliminary final.
They take on Huskisson-Vincentia next Saturday for a place in the decider.
The round finished with Basin's first grade women taking on Shoalhaven Heads-Berry in their knockout preliminary final.
The first 20 minutes of the match showed a reasonably even game with both sides having their opportunities.
But it was Heads who scored first and by half-time, the score was 2-nil.
The lead seemed to fire the second-placed Sharks over the half-time break and came back out with a fast, strong attack which resulted in a third goal within minutes.
By the end, the Heads' relentless attack wore Basin down and a further three goals went through before the whistle blew.
It was a tough end to a commendable season for first grade.
