In a replay of last year's Blackmore Bolden Shield decider at Bomaderry Oval, it was the hosts who opened the scoring on Saturday through Brodie Chapman in the 26th minute.
One minute before half-time, Corey Ryan levelled the scores for the Seagulls, to make it 1-all at the break.
Six minutes after the resumption, Rob Hawker's troops had their first lead of the match, when Brendan Hiriart found the back of the net.
But their lead was short-lived as Jyle Smith equalised for the hosts in the 63rd minute.
Just when it appeared the two sides were going to have to settle for one point each, Lewis Archibald pounced in the 86th minute to secure the win for the visitors.
The Seagulls are now on 11 points, one behind the Tigers (12) - with St Georges Basin (16) leading the way, after recording their fifth win of the season on Saturday against Illaroo.
At the St Georges Basin Sporting Complex, the Roos jumped out the blocks and surprised the hosts - with Hayden Strand scoring within the first 60 seconds.
But Dane McGinn cancelled out the one-goal lead 11 minutes later for the Dragons before Tim White gave them the lead in the 54th minute.
The win was sealed in the 92nd minute when substitute Tyrone Nye-Williams scored his second goal of the season for the Dragons.
Rounding out the top four are Milton-Ulladulla who thumped Shoalhaven Heads-Berry 3-nil at Vic Zealand Oval.
Ivan Katusa opened the scoring for the Panthers in the 11th minute before skipper Nathan Avery (54th minute) and David Freeman (77th) put the result beyond doubt.
The round's other win went to Callala, who downed Sussex Inlet 4-3 at the Thompson Street Sporting Complex.
Nick Evans (three) and Joshua Tasker scored for the Brumbies in the win, while Joshua Cawthorne and Kyle Jarrett got on the scoresheet for the hosts - with the third being an own-goal.
The final game of the round saw Culburra draw 1-all with Shoalhaven United - despite the former having both Douglas Gray and Stephen Gray shown red cards.
At Culburra Oval, Joel Fowler scored the Cougars' goal, with captain Shaun Aldous netting for the Bears.
Next week, Bomaderry takes on Culburra, Huskisson hosts Shoalhaven Heads, Milton battles Callala, Illaroo entertains United and Sussex lock horns with Basin.
