Fresh off a last up win against Kiama, the hosts opened Sunday's scoring in the 12th minute when hooker Sam Hooper burrowed his way over - with the Jets being reduced to 12 players thanks to Josh Coulter's sin-binning.
Five-eighth Blair Grant added the extras for 6-nil.
The lead was short-lived, as a sweeping Jets move involving Paul Roberts, Dylan Farrell and Jason Gillard led to centre Ryan James barging over in the 22nd minute.
The Jets had their first lead of the match in the 28th minute when prop Matt Scott gathered a Tyson Simpson kick and powered over.
Coulter converted to make it 10-6.
Minutes later, Jets hooker Paul Roberts was sin-binned, which quickly turned into a send-off due to him striking Warilla's Jake Brisbane - leaving the visitors with just 12 men for the final 49 minutes.
Just before the break, the Gorillas regained the lead with two quick tries through Callum Gromek and Guy Rosewarn, to go into half-time up 18-10 thanks to Grant's boot.
Defying the odds, the Jets closed the deficit to just four points when winger Jayden Brody scored in the 50th minute.
That four-pointer gave the visitors the belief they needed, as strong play by James and Brandon Walsh laid the platform for Tyson Simpson to reach over and score the visitors' fourth.
Coulter's conversion made it 20-18 with 16 to play.
Grant, who was one of his team's top performers on the day, squared up the score with five minutes to go, following a penalty.
But the Jets would have the last laugh, as Coulter kicked a penalty goal after the siren to seal the 22-20 win.
The Jets, who are now 2-0, next travel to Kevin Walsh Oval to face Jamberoo on Saturday, while the Gorillas have the bye in round five.
