A huge pile of illegally dumped household waste has been discovered by Shoalhaven City Council rangers near Myola, in bushland owned by a local aboriginal land council.

It is one the largest piles of illegally dumped household waste discovered by Shoalhaven rangers.
Items found in the trash included a sofa bed, surfboard, white goods, esky, chairs, sheet metal, motors, laundry basket, mattress, crate and a television set.

A council spokesperson said the illegal dumping was under investigation.
"Evidence has been located within the waste and rangers are hopeful of a positive outcome in locating the offenders," the spokesperson said.
"Individuals who are found to have illegally dumped waste face on the spot fines of $2000 to $4,000.
"Offenders identified will also be ordered to clean up and dispose of their dumped waste at a lawful waste facility."
