It means the development application will be decided by councillors rather than council's staff.

Cr John Levett who brought forward the motion said with over 100 submissions made so far, there was significant community interest in the development.
"Most of [the submissions are] critical of the nature of the development, size, the scope of it and it's sensitive location," he said.
"On that basis alone and in the public interest I choose to call it to council for determination.
"So members of the public can take the opportunity to address council and put forward their views on it because it is a contentious development and one of enormous significance."
The proposal for 3 Moona Street, Huskisson and will include a multi-level 40-room motel, food and drink premises, a commercial space (day spa), guest gym, pool and an apartment building containing 39 residential units.

Cost of the project on the irregularly shaped 8350 square metre site, which has three street frontages to Murdoch Street in the east, Burrill Street in the north east and Moona Street in the north, is $32,038,629.
