A woman has had a lucky escape after crashing and rolling her car down an embankment on the Princes Highway, south of Berry at Jaspers Brush.

Around 6.20am on Wednesday, July 15, the woman was the sole occupant of a vehicle travelling south on the Princes Highway upgrade between Berry and Bomaderry when it crashed into a guard rail, left the roadway, careered down an embankment and rolled.

The woman managed to free herself from the vehicle and was found about 400 metres south of Turners Lane.
She has been taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital for medical assessment and is helping police with their inquiries.
The Princes Highway was closed to traffic for a short period of time while the crashed vehicle was recovered.
