An investigation is underway after a man was allegedly assaulted with a golf club during a home invasion in the Shoalhaven.

Shortly after 6pm Sunday, June 21, two unknown men attended a home on Park Road, Nowra, and spoke to the occupant - a man, aged in his 30s.
Police have been told one of the men kicked a glass panel next to the door, before they entered the home and assaulted the occupant with a golf club.
The occupant armed himself with a small ladder and the two men fled on foot.
He sustained bruising and soft tissue injuries and drove himself to hospital for treatment.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and started inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As part of their inquiries, detectives would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist them.
One of the men is described only as being aged in his 20s or 30s.
Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the time of the incident, is urged to come forward.
