ULLADULLA United product Tom Engelbrecht has been rewarded for his strong season in ACT/NSW Country Comets colours by taking out the 2019/20 bowling award.

The 21-year-old from Tuross Head took 18 wickets from his 12 matches in the Second XI competition, at an average of 36 - with his best figures (5/145) coming against Tasmania in October.
Other standout performances came with the white ball in the club's T20 fixtures against Western Australia, on January 21 and 22 - where he took 3/25 and 3/21 respectively.
The South Coast all-rounder also produced with the bat this season, which was his third straight campaign with the Comets.
In 18 innings, the Moruya High School alumnus, who also plays for the St George District Cricket Club in the NSW Premier Cricket competition, scored 324 runs, at an average of 21.60.
His season high score of 76 not out came against Western Australia at Phillip Oval.
Fellow Greater Illawarra Zone player Blake Nikitaras was also rewarded by the Comets, with him taking out their batting award.
Nikitaras, who also plays alongside Engelbrecht at St George, amassed 453 runs (at an average of 28.31) from his 17 innings (12 matches), highlighted by a second-innings 126 against Western Australia in October.
