A man charged with a public sex act, drug supply and trespassing in Nowra will face court in Wollongong on Thursday, May 14 police say.
Police said the man entered a restaurant on Nowra Lane at about 6pm on Tuesday, May 12 and approached a female staff member aged in her 20s.
Police say the man spoke to the woman before he allegedly committed an act of indecency.
The woman fled the store and notified police, who attended and commenced an investigation.
"Following extensive inquiries, investigators arrested a 38-year-old man at a park on Egans Lane, Nowra, about 10.30am on Wednesday May 13," police said.
"Police searched the man and allegedly found a crystal substance believed to be methylamphetamine.
"The man was taken to Nowra Police Station charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent, supply prohibited drug and enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse."
Police said they will allege in court that the man also attended a nursing home in Bomaderry on May 12 and sat at the end of a resident's bed, before being removed by staff.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court audio visual link on May 14.
South Coast Police District Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Scott Nelson praised the community for their assistance in the matter.
"We treat these types of crime very seriously and will act on any information provided to us by the community," Det Insp Nelson said.
