The five-year-old will race for the first time since early January when he contests a 1200 metre benchmark 78 at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
Cuban Royale experienced mixed results throughout the spring campaign, but with many of the top city horses taking a break after the autumn carnival, Price, who formerly trained out of Nowra, is optimistic the gelding can thrive over the next few months.
"I'm looking forward to Cuban running on Saturday," Price said.
"It's the best ever he's spelled.
'He should have a good prep.
"He's had a trial and he jumped out good again on Tuesday.
"He's got a great fresh record, he has Kerrin McEvoy on him, hopefully he's competitive.
"We're hoping he can produce some good results.
"I don't think he's the best wet-tracker, he's won on soft, so hopefully the tracks stay a bit firmer."
