A Triple Zero call reporting the fire was received around 11.47am (Thusrday, April 30).
Shoalhaven RFS crews from Culburra Beach, Callala Bay and Beach and Greenwell Point arrived at the home in Addison Road around midday.
The rear top section of the double story home was well alight when crews arrived.
Fire crew members, wearing breathing apparatus, attacked the fire within the structure and extinguished the blaze.
A search of the home at this stage has revealed no one was inside at the time.
Crews remain at the location carrying out investigations and continue to monitor any possible fire hotspots within the structure.
Fire and Rescue NSW Shoalhaven 440 crew from Nowra also attended the scene.
The home has suffered significant fire and smoke damage.
Meanwhile, motorists on the Princes Highway south of Nowra near Falls Creek are being warned to take care after an oil spill has been reported near the intersection with Jervis Bay Road.
The Live Traffic website says traffic is being affected in both directions.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and reduce speed in the area.
