The hospitality industry, in particular, has been hit hard, with a number of restaurants and cafes simply shut down.
The Butter Factory Restaurant at Pyree, east of Nowra, was one of those.
But owners Andrew and Maria Heffill have managed to adapt their business and are now providing takeaway meals.
And if its first week of trading is anything to go by, it looks like it's going to be a success.
The restaurant, which looks out over the beautiful neighbouring farmland, has adapted its menu to provide a variety of entrees, mains meals and deserts in takeaway form from Thursday through to Sunday for dinner.
So popular did last week's first venture into takeaway dinner service go, the couple are this week expanding to also include a lunch service.

"These are uncertain times," Mr Heffill said. "This is our livelihood and our family's future. We just couldn't sit here and twiddle our thumbs for six months.
"We had to do something, so we adapted some of our 'old favourites' and thankfully the local community has so far supported our venture.
"We can't thank the community enough for all their support.
"Our staff have also been excellent - they've helped out where they can and have been very flexible.
"It's a learning time for everyone. We're all just trying to make the best of what is an average situation."
With a large kitchen, allowing space for chefs to be able to work and still observe social distancing regulations, and limited front of house staff, the business has been able to resume trading.
"It took some work to adapt our regular sit down menu into takeaways," he said.
"Some of our food really doesn't travel that well in the back seat of a car and we had to adapt our menu to be more family-friendly dining."
The ever-popular eight hour roasted free-range pork belly and squid ink linguine with smoked prawns are on the menu, along with some "nice family-friendly autumn meals" like lasagne, pumpkin soup, roast of the day and fish and chips.
Orders can be made online at the restaurant's website or over the phone and with a large car park area, almost a drive-through service has been provided.
"We can virtually do contactless delivery to cars for those who choose that," he said.
"We really had no expectations of how it would go. We just had to do something and we are thankful of the community's support.
"Our first weekend was fantastic and we can't thank all our regular customers and everyone who supported us.
"With no great hope of visiting tourists during this period we look forward to serving the community for as long as is necessary.
"I think our location this time has proved advantageous, as there are not many food options out this way still open.
"So we are lucky and we appreciate that and all the support so far.
"And we do look forward to having a big reopening when the time comes."
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Thursday to Sunday from noon to 2pm and 5-7pm.
