Director of Community Engagement for Cancer Council NSW, Rory Alcock, said it was a decision they had to make.
"Given the high risk to public health posed by COVID-19, Cancer Council NSW has made the decision to postpone the Nowra Relay For Life," he said.
"Cancer Council NSW has taken advice from leading health professionals, and knowing that many who attend the Nowra Relay For Life are in a higher risk group, we are confident that this decision is in the best interests of everyone involved, as well as the wider NSW community."
