
Well-known local helicopter pilot Max Cochrane has taken to the air over the last couple of days to bring us some stunning images of the local flooding.
The Bolong-based pilot has captured the significant flooding in the Shoalhaven River and the surrounding flood plains.

There are some superb images from Shoalhaven Heads, and around the Bomaderry, Berry and Bolong areas.

The ferocity of the opening of the Shoalhaven River at Shoalhaven Heads is there for everyone to see.
Shoalhaven City Council used machinery to dig a channel to the sea at the Heads after Shoalhaven River water levels rose Sunday night and reached emergency levels at Nowra.
One of the photos clearly shows Burraga Island, or as it is known by locals, Pig Island, just east of the Shoalhaven River bridges, almost completely underwater.

Mr Cochrane undertook two flights around the region on Monday, recording the February 2020 flood.
