An electrical storm reduced the second innings to 11 overs and Norths won on the last ball.
The home side won the toss and quickly elected to bat first.
Sussex made 3/141 from its 20 overs and Norths had reached 6/78 from the 11 overs it was allocated, which was enough for victory.
The aggressive Sussex batting line-up was just that - aggressive.
Callum Franchie, Shane Isherwood and Glenn Hayek put Sussex in control with the bat.
Franchie was particularly aggressive and his 49 runs came from just 26 balls with three maximums and five boundaries in the mix.
Isherwood and Hayek produced copybook efforts with the bat.
They both made 39 runs and hit five boundaries in the process.
Hayek faced 41 balls and Isherwood faced 42 balls.
Tobias Hanger, James Biggs and Angus Lowbridge took wickets for Norths.
Paul Davidson 21 runs with three boundaries, Hanger 13 runs and Tristian Woods 13 runs guided Norths to victory.
Troy Gillespie took three wickets for Sussex.
