The Rural Fire Service says at least 380 homes have been lost in the Eurobodalla Shire and 88 in the Bega Valley since December 31.

From Batemans Bay to Narooma, 61 facilities, such as halls or schools, and 543 outbuildings were destroyed in the fires that swept through the shire from New Year's Eve onwards.
However, Inspector Kelwyn White warned just 70 per cent of the burned area in Eurobodalla Shire had been assessed.
In the Bega Valley, 10 facilities and 180 outbuildings have been lost so far, but assessors had counted only a quarter of the burned areas.
In the Eurobodalla Shire, 188 homes, 17 facilities and 160 outbuildings were damaged.
In the Bega Valley, 22 homes, six facilities and 45 outbuildings were damaged.
In happier news, in the Eurobodalla Shire's burned areas, 1078 homes were sound, along with 135 facilities and 491 outbuildings.
In the Bega Valley, 388 houses were untouched in the burned areas, with 70 facilities and 407 outbuildings.
Eight people have died on the South Coast and Far South Coast.
