Playing at the Bernie Regan Sporting Complex, the hosts won the toss against Bomaderry and decided to bat first.
Youngsters Hyeon Parsons and James Biggs got Norths off to a strong start before they fell for 17 and 16 respectively.
First-drop Nick McDonald proved to be a mainstay in the middle, seeing Shane Bell (13), Graham Davidson (16), Justin Weller (13) and Samuel Lowcock (10) all come and go.
McDonald eventually fell for 37, from 63 balls, leaving Norths in a precarious position at 7/129.
But blazing knocks from Troy Sweet (31 not out) and Hugh Gillen (30 not out) guided the hosts to 9/196 from their 45 overs.

For the Tigers, Stu Jeffrey (3/39) and Daniel Bryant (3/42) both took three wickets each, while Michael Coulter (2/17) and Kealen Blattner (1/33) also bowled well.
In reply, Weller dismissed both Bomaderry openers Coulter (eight) and Matthew Hiriart (zero) cheaply, leaving them reeling at 2/30.
Handy knocks from Kyle Jarrett (27) and Zac Blattner (17) then got the visitors back into the match.
A 46-run partnership from Daniel Bryant and Ben Lahene then wrestled the advantage back to Bomaderry, before the latter fell for 30.
When Bryant fell for 38 four runs later, Norths were again on top - as Bomaderry were sitting at 6/128.
It didn't help when Ben King-Gee (six), Kurt Quinlan (zero) and Chaise Boulding (one) all came and went quick.

But a fast 30 from Kealen Blattner got Bomaderry back into the match, but his dismissal by Gillen ended the visitors' chances of victory - being all out for 173 in the 36th over.
For the hosts, Colin Searson was the chief destroyer, taking 4/42 from his nine overs.
Weller finished 3/24 while Dan May (1/23), Troy Sweet (1/26) and Gillen (1/30) all took one each in the win - ending the premiers five-game losing streak.
League leaders Berry-Shoalhaven Heads had the bye in round eight.
With two rounds of the one-day competition remaining, Berry (65 points) are first, ahead of Ulladulla United (52), Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens (39), Bomaderry (26) and Norths (13).
Looking ahead to next round, Norths host United at the Bernie Regan Sporting Complex and the Tigers clash with the Magpies at Bomadery Oval - with Ex-Servos having the bye.
