Janet and John Simmonds are annoyed after continually receiving duplicate letters from Shoalhaven City Council. They say their complaints have fallen on deaf ears.
Each time Shoalhaven Council has posted out information notices (for roadworks, public exhibitions, etc) they've received two identical letters.
Janet Simmonds said the first few times they shrugged it off but the letters kept coming.
"It's not just the postage, it's the time. A piece of paper doesn't cost much but if you get a ream of them each time they send it out, it's going to add up," Mrs Simmonds said.
"We're trying to conserve paper and be green but one of those letters is immediately going in the recycling. It's just a waste.
"Hopefully we're the only people who are getting sent double."

John Simmonds said although it might be a humble mistake, it needs to stop.
"We're old school and any waste of money like that really annoys us, because [council] should know better," Mr Simmonds said.
"When someone brings it to their attention and they don't do anything about it means there's somebody in the council who just doesn't care about the job."
Shoalhaven City Council said it tries to provide exceptional customer service to ratepayers but could not explain the duplicate letters.
"Council officers do perform a process of eliminating duplicates where residents have multiple properties or subdivided properties with the same owner details, however without understanding the details of the resident's enquiry we are unable to explain the duplication of letters," a council spokesperson said.
"Council will continue to utilise a variety of methods to communicate important issues to ensure residents are well informed of changes that directly affect their property."
