Despite the weather plenty of Nowra residents turned out to Prosperity in the Park.
The annual event run during Anti-Poverty Week was held on Friday, October 11 at Nowra's Parramatta Park.
The crowd was entertained by the Basin Bowlers big-time band who were dressed in hawaiian shirts and leis playing their up-beat tunes.
There was a free barbeque and plenty of community services and organisations were there to help.
Those who had stalls included Mission Australia, Shoalhaven Neighbourhood Services, Local Police Officers, St Vincent de Paul, NSW Government brances, Legal Aid, Shoalcoast Community Legal Cenre, South Coast Medical Service, Rural Adversity Mental Health Program, MP Fiona Phillips, Unions Shoalhaven and the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The event is a joint initiative between the Shoalhaven Anti-Poverty Committee and Shoalhaven City Council.
