Due to the increase in number of teams and the massive growth of the girls game this year, the competition had to split the southern region int southern and northern divisions.
The Sam Bremner regional finals which were held last week at Ulladulla Sporting Complex, pitting the Illawarra Sports High School (northern winners), Ulladulla High School (southern winners) and Erindale College (Canberra/ACT winners) against one another in the under 18s division.
The southern winners proved their class to win both games, first defeating Erindale College 18-10 and then downing Illawarra Sports High School 22-nil - with Meg Buchanan named player of the day.
Ulladulla, as the regional Sam Bremner winners, now progress through to the NSW females state finals day, which will now be known as the Katrina Fanning Cup.
Ulladulla will travel to Penrith on Thursday, September 19 to compete against the best schools in the state - a day which will involve more than 400 girls.
On the day, Ulladulla will be joined with the other regional winners Thirroul Public School (under 12s) and Warilla High School (both in under 14s and 16s).
