Gurney (Shoalhaven) and Austin (Kiama) are two of five Illawarra products named in the Brett Marchant's 23-person squad - with Jack Dalon, Cooper Hansen and Soull Lauvi-Johnson also in the team.
This quintet are joined in the squad by Hunter's Will Archer, Zac Crowley, Jack Johnson Holmes, Brady Mather, Beau Merrick, Jack Perry, Elias Pettigrew and Alex Vaughn, Central Coast's Toutai Aho, Sullivenusi Haklo, Harry Layton, Matt Martin, Morgan McWhirther and Viliama Muruteutau, Central West's Jack Bell and Harrison Lee, Mid North Coast's Ollie Gibbon and Far North Coast's Tupou Lolohea.
Marchant's side will battle Sydney on Sunday, September 15 at Daceyville.
