Smokey's age is a little bit of a guess, as is his breed, but it's estimated around six or seven-years-old with a bit of Russian Blue or something similar.
He is a little shy at first but once he gets to know you he quickly becomes a real snuggler, pushing his head into your hand for lots of love and scratches.
Smokey has tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) so will need to be an indoor only cat and he does have a heart murmur.
FIV affects the immune system but cats that test positive tend to live long lives just like their non-FIV counterparts.
You can find out more about adopting an FIV cat on the AWL NSW website at www.awlnsw.com.au
Smokey has been desexed, vaccinated and microchipped and vet checked. If you think you may have a loving home for him please contact the Shoalhaven Branch of Animal Welfare League NSW on 0429 429 885.
AWL is still looking for a foster home for sweet three-year-old ginger and white cat Louie.
He would be perfect for an older person after some company but not wanting to take on the responsibilities of pet ownership.
All Louie's food, litter and veterinary care is provided by AWL NSW whilst he's waiting in a foster home for adoption.
If you think you may be able to offer him a foster home please contact us for further information. Louie would need to be the only cat in a dog free home. No young children.
Perhaps you may even have a permanent home to offer him? If you would like to find out about adopting Louie, contact 0429 429 885.
