Illaroo took on Tigers on Saturday at Bomaderry Oval and the victory would have given the Roos a tremendous boost.
Illaroo was in third place before Saturday's round but following the weekend's results are now in fifth spot, while St Georges Basin's 4-1 win over Milton Ulladulla also hurt the Roos.
Both Bomaderry and Illaroo had plenty of chances to score in the first half but only the Tigers, thanks to Jordan Haddow, found the back of the net.
Illaroo's equaliser came as the 47th-minute mark when Evan Leedham scored.
In the meantime, Callala showed the high flying Huskisson Vincentia Seagulls can be beaten.
The Brumbies, at the Emmett Street Oval on Saturday, recorded a 1-nil win.
It was only the second time this year the Seagulls have been grounded and Saturday's match was a bit of a wake-up call.
The Brumbies, despite the victory, remains in second-last spot on the ladder.
St Georges Basin has snatched the fourth spot on the ladder thanks to its 4-1 win over Milton Ulladulla at the St Georges Basin Sporting Complex.
Things were close in the first half and the Basin went into the break with a slender 2-1 lead.
The Red and Whites played well in the second term to take victory against a willing opponent.
Jordan Reid kicked a brace of goals, while Tim White and Dane Mcginn also scored for the home-side.
Brent Anderson was Milton's sole goalkicker.
Shoalhaven United had a comfortable 6-nil win over cellar-dwellers Shoalhaven Heads Berry at Vic Zealand Oval.
The consistent Bears kicked three goals in both halves of the contest.
Alex Rogan led the way with a brace, while Matthew Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Shaun Aldous and Kaine Good also beat the goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Manyana and the Sussex Seahawks at the Manyana Sportsground recorded a rare nil-all draw.
After Saturday's round, the standings are Huskisson Vincentia 53, Bomaderry 40, Shoalhaven United 39, St Georges Basin 39, Illaroo 38, Culburra 37, Milton Ulladulla 31, Manyana 27, Sussex Seahawks 21, Callala Brumbies 20 and Shoalhaven Heads Berry 14.
