The Department of Public Prosecutions withdrew the charge against 67-year-old Avian Meller in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, August 20, with Magistrate Gabriel Fleming dismissing the charge.
Ms Meller allegedly stabbed her 27-year-old son, Daniel Russell, in the left shoulder with a knife on Monday, September 10, at a Sanctuary Point home.
Police were called to the home shortly after 9pm and on arrival officers found the man suffering a "single puncture wound" to his shoulder.
Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics started CPR at the scene but he died on the way to hospital.
Police said the incident was domestic-related, with a alleged verbal altercation leading up to the stabbing.
No further charges will be laid in relation to the incident.
