Taka, an honorary life member of Bushido, has been involved with many aspects of helping and promoting the sport of judo all over the world.
Taka loves teaching and training at Bushido Shoalhaven Heads and all the members benefited from his teaching while he was here.
He proved extremely popular because of his personality.
Taka and Bruce Fagan trained together and have remained friends for 50 years as Taka was Bruce and Hiromi Fagan's coach. Taka has an impressive resume:
1964-1968: Graduate of Physical Education at Kokushikan University, Tokyo.
1968-1971 Physical Instructor Junior High School at Osaka in Japan.
1971-1972 Christchurch International Judo Academies in New Zealand.
1972-1974 Bushido Judo Club Inc in Sydney.
1974-1981 Tasmanian Judo Federation, Physical Education and self defence instructor of the Tasmanian Police Academy.
1981-2014 Professor of the Institute of Budo and Moral Education at Kokushikan University in Tokyo (Retired).
1983-2014 Director of the Setagaya Judo-Kai, Tokyo.
1989-2014 Director of the All Japan University Judo Federation.
1997-2014 Director of the Japanese Academy of Budo.
2009 - 2014 Corporation of the Association of Budo for the Disabled.
Taka was the Presenter of Olympic Congress over many years: 1992 Malaga, Spain; 1996 Dallas, Texas; 2000 Brisbane, Australia; 2004 Athens, Greece; 2008 Nanjing, China; 2012 Liverpool, England.

Darren and Danny Fagan have made Bushido into a family friendly judo club. All the coaches are excellent - last Tuesday night there were eight black belt coaches on the mat with over 50 members training.
